Our History
SVD Nursery has a deep history rooted in dedication to agriculture and horticulture. Established several decades ago as a small family business, the nursery was initially focused on cultivating and supplying local plant varieties to meet the needs of nearby farming communities. Over time, the commitment to quality and improvement allowed the nursery to grow, becoming a trusted name in the region.
In 2019, Mr. Prabaharan took over the reins of this family business, bringing with him a vision to modernize and expand its operations. His leadership marked a turning point for SVD Nursery, as he combined traditional values with modern agricultural practices to cater to the growing demands of both large-scale and small-scale agricultural ventures.
Under Prabaharan’s guidance, the nursery diversified its offerings, introducing advanced plant varieties such as tissue-cultured plants, grafted fruit plants, and cloned forestry plants. He also implemented sustainable farming practices and enhanced the nursery’s capabilities to take on large-scale projects, including highway beautification, private farm development, and plant supply to institutional clients like Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
